C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs l\u2019&rsquo;explication de l\u2019&rsquo;\u00e9chec relatif de Toyota et de l&rsquo;\u2019abandon de sa 2000 GT \u2013 bien trop ch\u00e8re \u00e0 produire malgr\u00e9 sa forte popularit\u00e9. Cependant le Japon \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es &rsquo;50 \u00e9tait un march\u00e9 automobile tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9 \u00e0 cause des salaires encore bas et du manque d&rsquo;infrastructures routi\u00e8res. Du fait d\u2019une traduction hasardeuse du japonais \u00e0 l\u2019anglais sur un site US tr\u00e8s connu, le L24 est commun\u00e9ment identifi\u00e9 comme une \u00e9volution du L20 4 cylindres 1600 cm3 qui est en fait arriv\u00e9 3 ans apr\u00e8s que le L20 6 cylindres a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-3 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:20px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\" style=\"background-position:left top;background-repeat:no-repeat;-webkit-background-size:cover;-moz-background-size:cover;-o-background-size:cover;background-size:cover;padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><p>En 1969, Nissan avait pr\u00e9vu une production de 2000 voitures par mois avec les premi\u00e8res livraisons destin\u00e9es aux march\u00e9s export pour 1970; Elles atteignirent en fait jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 3250 v\u00e9hicules par mois pendant les trois ann\u00e9es de production qui suivirent.<\/p>\n<p>Pour cela, Nissan pouvait s\u2019appuyer sur un r\u00e9seau existant : la Nissan Motor Corporation US (NMC-USA) fut cr\u00e9\u00e9e le 28 Septembre 1960 et en 1970, ses ventes d\u00e9pass\u00e8rent les 155 000 unit\u00e9s. On d\u00e9nombrait pratiquement 900 concessionnaires.<br \/>\nCette information est disponible dans les archives NMC-USA et reprises dans le livre de John Rae, ISBN 0-07-051112-8 publi\u00e9 en 1982. Nous vous conseillons cet ouvrage de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 115px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/zhome.com\/ZCMnL\/Books\/HistorySm.jpg\" width=\"105\" height=\"165\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">livre de John Rae, ISBN 0-07-051112-8<\/p><\/div>\n<p>En Europe, certes moins massivement qu\u2019aux USA, Nissan a accord\u00e9 des concessions sous franchise, d\u00e8s 1960 en Norv\u00e8ge, 1961 pour la Gr\u00e8ce (qui au passage a f\u00eat\u00e9 en 2014 les 600 000 voitures vendues), la Finlande en 1962, les Pays-Bas en 1965, le Portugal en 1966 (5 000 ventes de \u00ab\u00a0510\u00a0\u00bb et 151 pour la \u00ab\u00a0240Z\u00a0\u00bb avec m\u00eame l&rsquo;installation d&rsquo;une usine pour fabriquer des utilitaires) et la France et Grande Bretagne en 1968.<\/p>\n<p>En Europe, Nissan n\u2019a donc pas r\u00e9it\u00e9r\u00e9 ses exploits avec la \u00ab\u00a0Z\u00a0\u00bb comme aux USA.<br \/>\nNissan n\u2019\u00e9tait en effet pas l\u2019importateur officiel comme aux Etats-Unis mais s&rsquo;est content\u00e9 d\u2019avoir des partenaires externes franchis\u00e9s (ex. SA Richard en France).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Les moyens de promotion et marketing \u00e9taient forc\u00e9ment plus limit\u00e9s. Nissan n&rsquo;a \u00e9galement pas \u00ab\u00a0forc\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb pour am\u00e9liorer cette situation sauf pour les championnats en Rallyes, pour lesquels la marque japonaise a pu compter sur l\u2019aide financi\u00e8re locale de certains concessionnaires (ex. \u00ab\u00a0Old Woking Garage\u00a0\u00bb en Angleterre).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Aux Etats-Unis, le marketing de NMC-USA fut activement soutenu par les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de course et de comp\u00e9tition comme <a href=\"https:\/\/bre2.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brock Racing Enteprises<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jansz.org\/BSR\/bsr-story.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bob Sharp Racing<\/a> (qui a connu le succ\u00e8s aussi avec Paul Newman) et Electromotive.<br \/>\nNissan pouvait aussi compter sur d\u2019autres professionnels tels \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque <a href=\"https:\/\/bondurant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving<\/a> lanc\u00e9 en 1968 par l\u2019ex pilote de F1, suite \u00e0 son grave accident en McLaren. Pour ce faire, Nissan cr\u00e9e aux USA son d\u00e9partement de comp\u00e9tition d\u00e8s 1967.
